Public Transport: Current MVV Schedules
The Garching campus is at the moment still hard to reach by public transport, but it is possible. First, you have to take a subway (U-Bahn) or S-Bahn (depending on where you come from) and then continue with a bus.
After completion of the underground line U6 to "Forschungszentrum Garching" (14./15. October 2006) the campus will be reachable directly.
Driving Directions
Whether you come
from the south (e.g. the city) or
from the north (e.g. the
airport) you preferably take highway no. 9 (A9).
From the City Center
In the center, follow the signs to A9, Nürnberg. Leave the highway at the exit Garching Nord (exit 70) and from there to the right and straight across the next traffic lights, following the sign to the
Forschungsinstitute. There exist
parking opportunities at the left-hand side of the Ludwig-Prandtl-Straße just before you reach the buildings on your left side. Walk up to the building crossing a small bridge and enter it close to the library, a shiny metal cube.
From the Airport

Inside the Building
Once you reach the Informatik building, go to the third floor where you can read the number 13 (close to the library) to find our
Rooms.
